i understand the critiques of this episode, but they didn't really detract from my enjoyment. this finale was unlike last season's in that they don't tie up most of the storylines with a neat bow. i don't feel like they needed to. capheus's big resolution was during his speech. sun still got an amazing action

my only quibble is, if being unconscious breaks the connection, how was will able to spend so much time visiting riley while she was in the hospital? i guess we can handwave that as chemical sedation causing a twilight sort of consciousness while being knocked out knocks you OUT, but still.

it's almost like the writers didn't decide the finale plot would be about taking SBK down until five minutes before they wrote it. but that can't be. it's not like that's what they did in seasons 2, 3, and… probably 4.

i checked IMDB for info on zakia and capheus's mom and the listings for the individual eps in season two were woefully inadequate. this was last week, and it may have changed since then, but i'm not used to knowing more than them. maybe it's because of the drop a whole season in one night model. unlike weekly shows,

i had to clarify this upon rewatch. superpower is the name of his gang. in this ep, though, when he says it he sounds like he's referring to himself in the third person because he doesn't have the entourage anymore (thanks to sun).

the thing about whispers is, what is he in this for? does he do it purely for his own advancement or does he get off on exploring every angle of the sensorium experience?

if jane the virgin did it for a character who was around for an entire season, i don't see why elementary couldn't for someone who just showed up!

i'm so sorry for your loss.

killing off will's dad felt wholly unnecessary on top of the angst he already has over sarah pattrell, leaving home, being invaded by whispers, and having to be on drugs all the time. and then framing it as though he almost got capheus killed just made me roll my eyes. where were sun and wolfgang when this was going

i got the impression will was not in withdrawal but was actively using, hence the intervention.

scully was also the heart in the last christmas episode. or was it the year before? he just wanted to go carolling and no one cared until they felt bad and joined him at the end. it was cute. i like that they differentiate the two screw-ups consistently. hitchcock is smarter and meaner, but also thoughtless. scully is

there's also a running critique that they don't spend enough time working, which i've never understood. this isn't a cop procedural. it's a workplace sitcom set in a police department. of course it'll be 99% shenanigans.

i knew tiny holt was going wait the full 45 minutes as soon as he said it, but watching him actually wait still killed me

your fears for the show were exactly my fears for the show. i was so thrilled to be proven wrong.

maybe, and maybe she considers him a piece of her husband because she thought they were very close friends. they don't confirm it either way.

this show feels like one of those things that if it doesn't grab you within a few episodes, it never will. they did make some changes in the second season, but the core ridiculousness of the premise isn't going anywhere.

them making a point of how any gender can birth clusters makes me think it won't be riley becoming the next angelica

being bad is actually a requirement

i wonder if they'll treat her like original movie colossus and pretend the character is american or if they'll go more in the direction of deadpool colossus and pretend the character is from rocky and bullwinkle.

and also the empathic power to make bar owners not care that he owes them ginormous gobs of money
