you are definitely not the only one who thought kara and james had great chemistry. it was off the charts from the first episode. i'm disturbed by the way the relationship was suddenly dropped immediately after they became official. i actually lost interest in the show.

i'm so sad that his role has languished. he had such promise. in the pilot, kara/james was foreshadowed with neon letters and the rest of the season steadily added to their development. they're adorable and good to each other. i was all for it. i'd give anything to know what happened over the summer to make the show

that was the third episode of season two, also when Everyone was introduced

ms. hudson has been neglected so badly she'd need her own spinoff just to catch up to the next character on the list.

lol when i saw a comment that joan cried in this ep, i *knew* it would be off camera.

i'm very conflicted about kevin connolly's character because he is clearly heartless and he wants to break up the ginny and mike team. but he has a great energy? and i can't stop being forcefully reminded of a young michael j. fox, which brings this involuntary sort of affection.

also it was an inspired choice to have oscar go off on her, showing the enormous stress he's under as well as outrage at her entitlement as her boss and as someone who's been uprooted/lived under the threat of it for years himself. they've done a good job of developing oscar. i root for him, even if i don't love his

i'd say fourth season of crushing their expectations. season one was my favorite season of television ever. but apart from that, i agree. it's clear that the showrunner and his writers are content—even thrilled—to focus on minutia-riddled murders with a side of wacky and/or emotional sherlock and they show no sign of

I perceived her lack of reaction as, "Yeah, you've said all this before. But it's not about me, it's about the group."

ugh i got so tired of telling people i'm veg because at least half of them became completely obnoxious. honestly, if i never hear about flowers screaming when you pick them, it'll be too soon.

if that's the message of this ep, it really goes against the development of their relationship over the last two years. if joan had no preference over working with sherlock and working with marcus and gregson, she wouldn't have walked away from the nypd all "so what if we're fired?". if she needed sherlock far less

they sometimes frame things to prioritize drama over character development. reminds me of the episode where sherlock volunteered their services for the demographics department behind joan's back, then revealed it was part of a plot to convince marcus to go back to major crimes. this sounds even worse, since joan

i don't think that's weird. she interacted with hopkins and lestrade, neither of whom seemed resentful of his talents at all.

i LOVE that he referenced strange magic. what a contrived and annoying piece of crap that was.

don't forget lobster!

also important to note that she left the precinct behind last season and assured sherlock that working with him was really all that matters to her. it might've made more sense if she'd also been against the commendation but in her low-key joan way, decided to pick at sherlock's reasoning for old time's sake ("i know

i wish they'd touched on joan's interactions with major crimes during sherlock's time in london and if being the only one of them to consult without another outsider serving as partner/support affected her perspective on the issue. i feel like that would have added an interesting dimension.

defending your life is one of my all-time faves. i've been thinking about it a lot lately, as the good place has kind of taken up their torch.

i don't think anyone ever thought that

having watched it with my sister's kids, it is to this day "the worst movie i have ever watched in a dodge caravan".
