I’m gonna throw out a WAG now and say that Guillermo discovers, much to his dismay, that his vampire hunter lineage “protects” him from becoming a vampire. Like Buffy Summers or any of the Slayers from that show, Guillermo simply can’t be changed into the undead. Nandor will then bait him into continuing to stick

Sort of a downer episode to the end the season on. Two of the big season long builds, Colin Robinson’s whole storyline and the potential Nadja/Gizmo embezzlement angle, both went out with a whimper. While teen Colin was funny (wish we had more of him), I was disappointed we’re back to original Colin Robinson with no

Bible verses out of context don’t really tell the whole story, which is why they’re kind of dangerous to just reference out of context.

No. Straight No.
There are TONS of conservative places on the internet, if nothing else, like 70% of facebook, and I agree absolutely that they should exist.
What there SHOULDN’T be, is ultra right-wing hate groups that seek to threaten and drive people to suicide. That is - stay with me here - not actually a

as someone who is quite fond of Jesus worship and is not conservative, leave us out of your count, there are a lot of progressive Christians who want none of what conservatism is.

Florence Pugh is a very good actress” is hardly a take so improbable that her publicist would have to be behind it.

I mean, you are talking about a guy whose formative years were World War I AND II. He saw a lot of obvious evil threat growing on the horizon, no one doing anything about it until it was almost too late, and then huge alliances having to pull together to repel the threat, only to have to rinse and repeat in a few

It’s weird how these people think this guy is some sort of aspirational figure:

The fact that the trolls are mad because their are black people in this show is just hilarious.

“nothing starts out evil” seems like a pretty direct attack on Tolkien’s theology.

If you’ve only got hand-washing dish soap? Hand wash the dishes you need until you can get to the store.

There’s some missed opportunities that arise from not having access to the complete lore - Galadriel’s character would be a lot more complex if the show could reference the Kinslaying and the exile of the Noldor (she willingly follows the Noldor into exile despite having fought against them in the Kinslaying defending

Honestly, I even own a bunch of the extra books of Tolkien’s notes (love Peoples of Middle Earth) and I really enjoyed this. It is a bit like putting a bunch of his “histories” in a blender but I don’t think that was a bad thing.

I’m team chaos:  Glorfindel

I consider myself a Tolkien fanboy and overall I am very impressed. A lot of the people with hate-boners for this show don’t really care about Tolkien they just want to be apart of a culture war.

God I hope it is one of the blue wizards. That is the obscure Tolkien shit that I cannot get enough of

Clearly you need to be baking more cookies!

reuthermonkey, you clearly don’t own a cat.  We got through a lot of baking soda keeping the house smelling fresh.  That stuff is amazing!!

If you’re doing it to expect a thank you, then you’re doing it for the wrong reasons. That’s why it’s called kindness and courtesy. Not “I’m doing this because I expect to be thanked for it”.

After Sandy Hook, there was a movement to honor the dead by doing “27 random acts of kindness” (one for each victim) and I started doing little things, like letting people in front of me in line at the grocery check out, etc. I had under estimated the good it would do me. In a world of hate, it feels like a tiny act
