I remember seeing an interview with Nancy's mother back in the day. Evidently Nancy wanted to place hockey but Mom said "hockey is for boys" and that's why she became a figure skater.

They actually went out of business after the AIDS epidemic in the 80s.

There's a bit of that "tiger mom/dad" mentality too, where your parents choose your career for you, so there may not be any passion for it.

Just asking: do nutritionists do anything more than count calories, fat, and salt? Do the actual nutrients in food count for anything? Are they taking additives into account? Or is is just that all we hear about are these numbers? Like I said, just curious. Not that I would ever eat at any of these places.

I get that at 21 you are looking for more than friendship from a woman. But please don't underestimate the importance of having friends.

And what's weird is that is LOOKS like it would taste good. I don't know how they do that. Won't get fooled again!

I have many friends who loved it so I picked it up. Soon enough I started thinking, I spend enough time with assholes so why would I want to spend any more time with these two? But the story was compelling enough that I had to finish it. Which made me hate it more.

I agree, I get the feeling that her boyfriend and his friend may have had a previous relationship, possibly the reason for the psycho behavior.
