Thanks for your thoughtful answer. Pretty buildings are great. I understand why everyone wants to pour more into it I just thought there might be something else they could do which would be cool.

I didn’t say they should abandon the structure. Sorry I commented. I think something different could come from the ruins but now I realize that I am wrong and that most people want to rebuild. That’s fine. 

Sorry to offend. I actually think that ruins can be inspiring. (Petra, the Sphinx, Coliseum, Pompeii.  I think it’s more basic to just say, let’s rebuild. it is never going to be the same and great artists could do something super cool there with VR 3 D imaging, etc. and divert some funds to the poor.
