There’s no question the 2017 egg was designed by whoever was doing it for Obama, and Trump didn’t get around to putting his stamp on the eggs until this year.

I’m guessing that the 2017 egg was an alternate design for the 2016, and because Trump’s administration was so slap-dash for the first 6-9 months - not to mention Melania wasn’t even there until June - the egg design slipped through the cracks until the design was due.

The 2016 and 2017 eggs sell on that WH site for $125 each. 2018 edition? $14.95. Perfect for our president who sees himself as the epitome of class and wealth, but everyone else can see is merely a cheap imitation of those things.
