As a Gold (borderline platinum) Skymiles member I am not a fan of this new “feature”. I occasionally have to change my itinerary less than 24 hours before takeoff and when I am on the go I use the phone app to explore my options. I also use the app to monitor the availability of the Delta Plus seats and manually

One caveat - The Chicago Athletic Association has a dress code. If you are wearing shorts and a T-shirt then you are out of luck. They also do not allow cell phone use in the lobby or dining areas.

As a person in sales, I do empathize with your frustration. having your compensation tied to things beyond your control is frustrating.

One other thing to note. Putting something in a store costs money. You have transportation costs, personnel, facility costs, and inventory management. In other words - overhead. It is no different from other retail stores. In some instances a factory direct /outlet store has higher costs because they operate outside

Your point is well taken if you only ever buy clothes for yourself. But if you give the stuff as gifts then the recipient has no idea that the item is “outlet quality”. From a branding/marketing standpoint this strategy is very risky. The Brand is knowingly putting out product that can easily diminish their reputation

Just curious - but I recently noticed a disclaimer stating that “Gawker Media May get a commission” on several of the featured deal links. (it may not be new, I could have been completely oblivious previously)
