Good point, I've read a couple Delillo's and not really got on with them to be honest. The only Wagner I've read is the compiled Wild Palms and Maps is most definitely from that same brain; but it's got a big streak of Cronenberg running through it which I didn't really feel from Cosmopolis.

I can only compare them as subsequent works by the same guy and I preferred one to t'other. You're right though, they are very different beasts.

You know Cosmopolis is an adaptaton and that it mirrors the book incredibly faithfully, including lifting the dialogue straight from the text and ending the same… So erm yeah.
