I'm not qualified to judge whether Weiland has "one of the best voices in rock," but I think his voice on Purple and Tiny Music is surprisingly good. He abandoned the fake drawl from Core almost entirely and started alternately crooning and doing what sounds like a George Harrison homage.

I recall some East Asian tourists flashing the peace sign while standing on a death spot. I suppose that wasn't as gross as the vendors with large poster boards showing various gory color

I started trying to think of a joke title for an Eddie Izzard / Ewan McGregor Western based on the model given by Shanghai Noon. Then, suddenly, after years of awareness of the title Shanghai Noon, I realized that that title has a pun in it.
