I manufacture, modify, repair and overhaul these engines for a living. For a company that is generally electric.......F414, F110, etc. I think I know a thing or 2 about the engine technology.

I’m very well aware of previous single engine attack jets. I’m also friends with several current Super Hornet pilots and they are not thrilled about this airplane. Regardless of how good it is the survivability is less than that of a 2 engine aircraft. Carrier borne aircraft should be 2 engined.

So it’s really an A-35. And a single engine attack aircraft flying off a boat wasn’t a good idea before and isn’t now.
