Britta is the worst.
Britta is the worst.
Watch "Toddlers &Tiaras" it will explain it all.
That joke stands out as an example of why this show has potential.
That's for sure.
I think it is very derivative of Community, but less audacious (Community is one of my all-time favorites). It is enjoyable, but nothing really meta or particularly innovative. That said, I would watch another season, and I thought the finale was the strongest show yet.
It is on Hulu.
Then why aren't they writing any stories for her? I agree that Shirley is a unique character - so unique that the writers have no idea what to do with her.
I've known plenty of 30/40 somethings who decide to get married because they don't know what else to do at this stage of their life. It also seems pretty normal for people who are intimate, if not romantic, to see marriage as an opportunity to redefine themselves - which is essentially what Britta and Jeff were…
The writers have no idea what to do with Shirley which is really sad.
I don't think the lip-synch is the only factor that Ru uses. It is just the final chance for the performers to offer something new or unique. Its a closing argument.
She was an excellent judge. Her critique was based in actual theory and technique. I would love to have her be a permanent judge.

I loved the Dean in this episode. No surprise he is an amazingly committed role player and he is so blissed out that he is finally role playing with Jeff. Though I imagine that in his dreams the role play contained Carnevale costumes and perhaps a different type of sword.
