Temaki-zushi is the cone shaped one you're referring to, I believe. It means hand roll. In fact, temaki is a great way to eat sushi - a family will serve a variety of ingredients and you take them and roll them up yourself. It's one of my favorites.

I'm surprised that the NYPD wouldn't be equipped to handle this type of harassment, since the police of the BFE tiny city in Wisconsin took such threats seriously and even made arrests (usually because they were violating probation or bond conditions). There was an instance where people made baseball bat threats on

I once found a vending machine next to a mountain trail. I don't know where the power was coming from, because it was in the middle of the woods, but it was pretty convenient.

This is one of the best things I've read on Jezebel, maybe ever. This piece really presented some points to think and dwell on. It's nice to see writers reporting a piece to better understand, not to win awards. Read it start to finish. Nice work.

Damn, they had nothing like this when I went to Universal Studios in Osaka. In fact there wasn't anything Japanese, just Japan's take on American culture (you've not lived until Spiderman has yelled "Ikuzou!" at you while saving you from certain doom).

Why do people subject themselves to this type of thing again? I mean is there a payoff that's really worth this level of detail? That's only part rhetorical, I really do wonder.

That would be a much better week, really.

This advice is fantastic, as it always is. My own experience echoes this advice. In my early 20s, I was not very successful with women, and it bothered me. At some point I just said to heck with it, and started focusing on developing myself into the person I wanted to be. By doing so, you build confidence and

Definitely - and libel cases are really tough to win - a lot of lawyers won't touch them. You have to prove not only that the information is false, but that it was done so maliciously. Oddly enough, the more successful libel cases these days are against Yelp reviewers, since the score makes intent pretty easy to prove

Also, this car is kind of a legend:

Thanks for this. One of the things that surprised me my first time in Japan. Most of the ones I saw were monochromatic outlines of anime-style art. Though also surprising was coming across the tofu-delivery car from Initial D in my small Wisconsin city.

Am I missing something? I checked a couple of the headphones, such as the Porta Pros, and they sem to be more expensive than you listed. Following your link, the Koss headphones are $40 on Amazon, not $25.

Totally agree - I haven't been sucked into a show like I was with Yowapeda in sometime. It's fantastic!

"So with the bird brutally beaten and Toadette rescued" Dude, spoilers!!!

As always, this is really good advice! One caveat I would add pertains to online date. I agree, do something fun for your first date, but your first meeting with someone you met online is NOT your first date. In real life, you already probably know and have some familiarity with that person you're on a date with. But

Very good points - typically in order to have significant economic impact you need people coming from out of town to spend money on sports. Otherwise you're just moving money around. It's a boost but likely a much smaller one than $500 million.

I think you guys definitely made the right call to publish - it's illuminating for us as reader ps to what kind of nutcase is behind obsessive and threatening comments like these. As a fellow journalist, I had to laugh at his libel comment. If I had a dollar for every time someone threatened me with libel, I might

I think people need to understand KFC in Japan is much better than in America. Can't explain why. I remember my Japanese ex demanding to go to KFC in the states. I thought it was strange but I obliged. She was sorely disappointed. I thought "well of course, it's KFC." Then she took me to a KFC in Japan, and I

So ESPN is reporting something that unnamed sources "believe." That is some weakass reporting.

That was a better example! Gotta love it...
