Low.

Hell, Mad Max happened before any sort of nuclear (or general WWIII) apocalypse as was referenced at the beginning of Road Warrior, so obviously Miller hasn’t been too concerned with any of this for 40 years now.

Nux doesn’t even know what a tree is.  The only explanation is a complete disregard of continuity.  Max still has his police interceptor in Fury Road, which means it would have to happen before The Road Warrior.

Sorry, I got hung up on Sharon Stone demanding welcome into a warm embrace, with which I’m glad to assist...can someone summarize for me?

It’s an understatement to say I have a hard time comparing the legacies of Marley and Elvis to Winehouse’s. Marley was more than just a reggae star, he was the most powerful person in Jamaica at a time of major upheaval and a political force. Elvis...well c’mon. Even John allowed more warts to be shown in Rocketman,

She was very much like early Adele - incredible, soulful pipes that grabbed music fans across genres. I’m a superficial pop fan at best but was blown away by Rehab and a few of the other Back to Black songs. But by the time Winehouse was famous in the U.S. she was already a complete wreck and never had much of a

When accounts were ported over I was out of the grays for all G/O sites, then had to change my login after losing my burner in a computer swap. Was in the grays ever after except (fortunately) on AV Club after Dowd blessed me with a follow. Just a lazy and idiotic system.

Obviously hoping that’s the next domino. Apparently the Kinja system came with the assets of G/O and so it’s been used because it was free (obviously spending on support wasn’t a priority). With AVC now under separate ownership there have to be more functional options.  How Kinja doesn’t allow nested comments is

There’s been a reasonable uptick in content quality since the sale, though.  I scrapped with Hassenger a bit a few days ago, and it was refreshing to see a writer 1. return to the site after a couple of years, and 2. actually wade into the comments section.  I’ve also noticed a decline in clickbaity outrage bullshit

I think the average sentence in this review is around four lines long, and challenge the writer to diagram any one of them.  This reads like a PhD candidate trying to impress his peers.

I’m a Houstonian whose current car came with heated seats as an already-installed option that is nice, I use the feature 8-10 times a year, but some A/C vented seats would be wholly appreciated and get 10x that usage.

Most rental cars don’t see much abuse...”

Fair point. The very beginning of the intro looks like a mushroom cloud but could just be a big explosion. The rest is just fires burning in the background. Tina Turner’s the one who talks about “the day after” in Thunderdome, which I think you’re right is the first explicit mention of nuclear war. But you do still

I think the latter is what happens when a hungry person enters a Chinese restaurant.

They’re so bad the first time I saw one live it took me a second to recognize what I was looking at. Truly terrible.

I bet Stephen King could punch out a good story about this in less than two weeks.

Problem is, this thing has no natural supporters beyond Musk fanboys

And then deduct the cost from taxable earnings, if it’s big enough to be considered a work vehicle.

Otherwise he’s either a special kind of oblivious or spending too much time sampling his own product. After years of buildup to this thing, almost entirely negative, NO ONE should be surprised by this reaction.
