Even with a ton of family in Alabama I was blissfully unaware of white sauce until recently. I don’t care how good it might taste that just seems unnatural.  Give me vinegar-based red sauce with a little kick, thanks.

Something like this, I think.

PYRITE?!

Sad aside, the best bottled Carolina gold is Maurice’s, which once had a Confederate flag on the front of the bottle that Maurice would not remove, and so it was dumped by most chain stores (yes, even in SC). He moved it to the side but the damage was done.

Uh oh.

My wife and I took MB during our pre-marital counseling period and literally scored opposite on all four measures. The priest said he’d never seen that and looked somewhat concerned. We’ve been married 25 years.

I don’t think she suggested that.  It was a topic that interested her and she got the ball rolling with a population she had access to.

I clicked through the article and it doesn’t seem to provide the n values for the study so it’s hard to know how many people actually fall into the sadist or psychopath categories (and my stats skills are very rusty) but I think it’s a stretch to assume it’s a large portion of the student body. All we know is those

I expect the author would agree with that, but this is an interesting start.

Presumably they’ll still be building them, but maybe he thinks at this point it’s more of a general contractor operation than an engineering function.

They’re going to have to do what gas stations did when fuel margins started compressing 20 years ago - get people inside a convenience store.  Gas stations make about $0.04/gallon profit, so a 20-gallon fill-up is worth less than a dollar to the station.  That 20-ounce Coke though?  100% markup.

On European economy, from the ECB:

It’s coming” is a pretty vague statement. Right now there are so many variables that I don’t see full self-driving for a couple of decades.

Doesn’t he still have voting control by virtue of holding a separate class of stock?

They are (were?) well on the way to becoming the Amazon or Google of EV charging infrastructure, a massive opportunity critical to widespread EV adoption and sales of their own products. This makes less than zero sense.

I assume in SF if you hit one of these guys while they’re behaving this way it’s your fault.

Yeah, but I pass cyclists all the time by partially and briefly using the opposite side of the road. What I don’t do is take up residence there like this brilliant machine.

Seriously, what the hell?  If I’m behind a bunch of...unicyclists? OK...on a one-lane road then I may not like it but I’m not going to commandeer a lane on the other side of the street.

For someone who thinks this is a good idea, $600 is probably pretty steep.  Still, I’d impound the vehicle on top of suspending the license.  Because no one ever drove on a suspended permit!
