There’s no remaining upside to standing by Trump. The party hates him and will be changing a lot of locks once he’s out. He and Rudy can have their doomed strategy meetings if they want. Everyone else knows it’s just going through the motions and are distancing themselves.

I agree with all that.  I would consider it a regional substitute for flying or driving between large to medium cities.  I can be in Denver in two hours on a plane; no way I’m taking a train for that trip.  Comparisons to western Europe never make much logical sense.
