I know it’s all relative. It’s all relative! People can afford different amounts of money for different things. One of the first things that crossed my mind regarding your anecdote about the Brit who laughed at your 10K was, “Well, yeah, if I lived in the UK where an actual social safety net exists, I might feel more

Round trip? Because I have to come home :)

I think that’s a little different, because it isn’t just a picture of a beer! It had a purpose: to tell that neat story :)

I love them, too! Although I admit I do get a little annoyed when someone clogs up my feed with bunches of uninteresting pics (friend in front of the Eiffel Tower > friend and husband in front of the Eiffel Tower > friend’s kids in front of the Eiffel Tower > entire family in front of the Eiffel Tower) but otherwise,

I also love them. I demand them when people leave for trips. Post lots of pictures, I say! When I’m traveling, I tend to go by three rules when I post, because I am also scared of coming off as awful, or annoying people.

1. Never post more than one picture a day, max.
2. Pictures of people* are best. Everyone knows what

It’s really not that difficult if you prioritize how to fit it into your budget. My boyfriend and I try and do one big international trip per year. We start thinking of destinations about a year ahead of time of time (usually on the last day of a vacation), which gives me ample time to save up. I definitely prefer

So? You say it like it’s his fault or he did it intentionally. “I’m gonna ride this male thing out until I become rich & famous, then be a woman. Being trans is so sweet!”

I love to travel and have travelled some and I still feel this way. Some friends may be moving to Australia soon and when they told my husband and I about it, everyone was like, “Oh, what a great opportunity to go visit!” And yes, it would be amazing to go to Australia and be able to visit friends who are living

I love seeing travel photos on Instagram. I follow a few strangers living abroad specifically because I enjoy beautiful, scenic photos of far-flung spots. My one pet peeve, though, is when someone posts a travel photo with a caption that explicitly compares where they are to where I am. Like when people go on beach

I’ve held off on saying this, but I don’t understand how people can even afford to travel. Like, how to you make rent and afford thousands of dollars in flights? All to take pictures and eat food someplace where everything is strange and you don’t know the rules and etiquette?

If anyone in my life feels “alienated” by my photos from overseas, they’re not paying attention. I went there to WORK and half of my followers on IG are students, so there are tons of school activity photos too that they tag themselves in. I only reposted the vacation ones to Facebook, and I couldn’t give a damn if

Captions kill travel social media game. Like #honorarynewyorker. Ew. But I'm also pretty anti hashtags in general.

I love looking at my friends vaca photos too. I usually end up wishing they’d post more so I can live through them. My former SIL went to Paris for part of her 50th bday celebration and only posted 3 pics. Three!?

I think the best way to do it is to have a purpose for the photo, like you said. Seeing a coffee cup that’s in another country doesn’t make it more interesting than all the other coffee cups on a photo site.

The annoying captions are the worst! Especially when they’re hashtags #livinthedream #baller

And I remember him saying something about sports being a form of overcompensation, by doing the manliest one there was and being the best at it, so I don’t even really know what she’s whining about. I don’t think she knows either.

What I like about Instagram is that some people out there really know how to take a good photo. They use colors, the know how to capture interesting things. It’s not just about posting a shitty picture, but to share something interesting.

And it’s not like he’s going around saying he understands women’s issues now, either. He was just talking about his own story. So I’m not really sure why this woman took offense.

If you were a woman no one would have heard of you because women can’t compete in the decathlon. You wouldn’t be a hero. You would be a frustrated young athlete who wasn’t given a chance.

If Liam Hemsworth is basic I think complex might be overrated.
