Beautiful animals.

I asked my former boss to help me move things into storage :(. Unfortunately for his past experience, he showed up with the same mentality that you express. When I literally had nothing but one truck bed full of stuff he actually laughed in relief.

Speaking as a Christian, this is why secular, non-Christian, hedonist hippies* don’t like you! You can feel what you want about salvation but you can’t defy secular law.

That’s not... a real thing. It can’t be :(.

Maybe my thinking will be a bit more clear here. The equivalent would be for marathon races to start eliminating people at every mile marker if they fall behind or don’t keep up with the fastest ones. By the end of the marathon you have your ‘winners’ who no one else could beat. But then the race committee turns

No. An equivalent thing would be that everyone starts off at the same time and then are eliminated if they don’t make certain distances within a set amount of time-dwindling down the many to the elite few. Then giving those who didn’t make it finisher medals.

It could have been my delivery as well, so truce? I wouldn’t want to shame any kids away or make them not want to play sports. I certainly was never the star of any teams I played on but I did play on teams that ended up playing well. I think going out there and continuously trying is a strength in itself and a great

Hardy har har. I didn’t realize it was considered ‘tremendous asshole’ behavior to say a comment or two about participation trophies. It’s not like I want kids that don’t place to have food thrown at them. Good on all kids that want to play on a team and set goals for themselves.

Hooray for you?

Oh yeah! Some of the shirts can be so great. I only like the finisher medals if they are unique or different-just disk shaped boring things are no fun. Like, I have one from the Petra marathon that is in the shape of the famous treasury. I only have two others so it’s not like I have a huge variety to choose from ;).

Because ‘showing up’ is not the same as completing a measured, physical feat. The people who bow out at 25 miles don’t get a finisher medal-anyone who takes one doesn’t understand sportsmanship. Giving little Timmy who strikes out, or is benched constantly or doesn’t really contribute much to the team a trophy is

To your comment about half-marathons, those are finisher medals. If you’re able to finish the run in the specified time, you earn one. Of course the competitors can take it more seriously but most people think it’s an accomplishment to set a goal, train for it and complete it. I’ve run three marathons and I like the

The bench warmers are still a member of the Super Bowl winning team. People would laugh if the 4th ranking NFL teams got consolatory SB rings.

There are millions (billions?) of chickens. Lions are one step above from being endangered.

You realize animals don’t see colors, correct? Aside from birds, chimps and one other species.

Yes, but it’s still a great challenge :D. The hardest part is the night of the summit as most tend to leave around 10/11pm the evening before. But that’s also a good thing because if I had to witness what I was hiking up (instead of just seeing a snake like trail of torches), I might have given up.

Is this a new sign or something? I summited back in 2012 and we still had the green sign.

It really isn’t hard if you have full mobility. I climbed (hiked) in in 2012. It’s not really technical and akin to walking up a set of giant steps. There was one point on the night of the summit where I was climbing up giant boulders but nothing technical.

This is like KIDS from the 90s.

This woman has been taking hormones and living as a woman within a male prison for 16 years? Wow.
