True. I remember following this case so closely when it was all coming out. Wilson stopped and harassed these two kids because they were black. Full stop. Profiling was something the Ferguson Police Dept. was quite familiar with, and Wilson no doubt engaged in the practice many times.

Yeah, I would say it’s too lenient, because in 5 years, the kids at that party will be 13 - still kids who (hopefully) have birthday parties. These fuckers pointed guns at children at their home. These poor kids - everyone who was there - will likely NEVER feel safe again. At home.

They were convicted of a crime that was written with blacks as the intended criminals. It may be excessive but it seems even more excessive because the defendants are white and we barely ever see whites get the same sentences as blacks.
