Just ran Chicago this weekend- I disagree about a lot of this, because I know the joy that marathon running/training has brought me and I encourage anyone to try it whatever their skill level is.

All the 13.1 and 26.2 bumper stickers - get fucked, people.

Run a hundred marathons and people don’t want to call you a marathoner, but build one bridge and you’ll always be known as a bridge builder.

They’re douchey, but the worst is the 13.1 stickers. You’re celebrating a half marathon? Are you fucking kidding?
