We are on our 2nd mini-van with just two kids and just recently 2 dogs now. Add in regular 6 hr. road trips, camping, and a new house we use the hell out of that thing.

Time to make friends in new cities... and mysteriously move a few weeks/months after the purchase.

Neutral: I’d be fine with Crossovers/SUVs if only they were easier to chop, channel and lower to correct proportional dimensions as vehicles were meant to be.

I guarantee that there are many more smiles per mile had in VW Eurovans when compared to Galants, thus the price difference.

OR you can do what I did to teach my wife to drive a stick: go test drive a new VW. Easy clutch to learn on, no need to worry about breaking the thing, and best of all... you are out no money.

no, and at least in the cubscout pack and the boy scout troop we are in any requirements (duty to god) are handled at home. IFRC this is handled at the local level, so if you encounter one group that does not welcome you, look for another (or start your own).

Pro tip: Turn the Econ. Mode to “off” the transmission shifts remarkably better, not great, or even good.. but definitely better!

My friend’s Dodge GC just pushed over 100k. The rear air-conditioner sprung a leak, but everything else has been A-OK.

I’m not sure who is griping about the ‘dependability issues’ with the Dodge or Chrysler products but we had an ‘07 for 4.5 yrs with no issues until we traded it in on a ‘12 VW Routan (a fancy Dodge GC) also with few issues that seemed to have resolved themselves. The Routan is nearly payed off nearly reaching 70,000
