I was more or less with this piece until its weird misreading of the psychology scene in Psycho. Isn't it pretty much settled reading of the scene that Hitchcock is taking a piss on the same tendency the author is describing? Hell, it closes with a vision of death being superimposed over Bates' face, pretty harshly…
