Kinja disappears comments randomly because comments that are not political go missing regularly too, and this started happening much more frequently around the same time that links from your notifications stopped going directly to the comment. Gizmodo disappears users who make political comments the editors disapprove of. It can be just your one comment, or they can disappear everything you’ve ever said. Everything looks normal to you when you post, but then your comment only shows up in your history.

Kinja has been broken since before it was Kinja. I don’t remember the comment system on these sites ever working correctly, since I first started reading more than 10 years ago.

Yeah, the pending comments don’t always show up anymore. I long for the good old days of about six months ago where clicking on the “this post” link in notifications would load the page in a way that took you straight to your comment. Now it’s often too much of a bother to reply to a reply.

Says 11 comments but not all of them load, and I don’t see anything from you even when I do “show pending”.
