I think the bigger problem is he knew that taking your foot off the brake of an autmatic does nothing unless you put it in D. But on a manual people usually leave it in gear when it’s powered off. He hit the clutch, started it and let off, not expecting it to move.

From what I’ve seen lately kids around 16-20 right now have much less incentive to do what the rest of us did from 16-20. Dating, driving, moving out, premarital sex, getting a job, etc. There are a number of reasons. More time spent on tictok than where you’d meet the opposite sex. Cost of living. Lack of a need…
