The 200, Sonata, and others are just imitations of the first generation CLS. The chopped coupe look has been a major styling cue in mid sized sedans for a while now. I have been in the 200, and I didn’t think the roofline was the biggest problem.

Seems like Ford did a great job of making a screamer of a hot hatch for the Jalop audience at a reasonable price. I’d probably prefer a Golf R if I was shopping this segment just on the basis of preferring the interior, but this thing is a monster.

Cadillac does a great job of killing the Ats all on its own. The sports coupe is a crowded niche segment, and GM is already getting slaughtered there. You can’t sell what the consumer ain’t buying.

I never understood the point of turning all of that stuff off. The car was engineered with their use in mind. If you track the car, it will go way faster with all of it turned on. TC is banned in so many racing series because it gives so much of an advantage.

This is some solid Torch, but frankly did Scion ever have a point? It was a failed marketing exercise that has gone on to be a badge engineering graveyard. They really just have to come out with a new TC, that looks good, light, no frills, and has a low starting price. Sell that and the Frs and you’re set.

Looks like a Cx7 replacement, which would slot it nicely between a 5 and the forthcoming 9. Would theoretically drive small like a 5 but has more cargo space and hopefully the turbo.

With all the talk about the Continental and the CT6, the press has buried the lede, those cars are not competing with the Germans, they are competing with Hyundai. The switchgear is not competing against MB, it is competing against Ford and Gm parts bin. My last car was a Sonata, and it was the Joseph A Bank of cars,

The Premium doesn’t come with leather. The vinyl is fine, I honestly didn’t find the leather being worth the upgrade. Leather, nav, are some of the non packaged options.

Just leased a Q50 in malbec black, it is available, but dealers don’t stock a lot of inventory in that shade. Still haven’t had a sunny day to see that purple flake pop.

I went with the Q50, and the lease deals on the 15's are nuts. As I said on the buyer’s guide, get one now before the new turbo cars come in, because I think those will sell better.

Nobody buys the Ats coupe, why would anybody buy this? It is gorgeous, but it would be hard to justify the business case for producing this car.

No fluke. You can get a new one for 8-10k off sticker with a little negotiation. I think the turbo cars will be in higher demand, so I think the time to make a deal is now.

The Q is smaller than a maxima, smaller than a mainstream mid size, bigger than a compact sports sedan is best I can compare.

I wound up getting the Q50. Wholeheartedly agree about the size of the Ats, it is just a much smaller car. I didn’t even consider the IS, on the basis that I was able to get the Q50 for Is 250 money, I wouldn’t even want to know how much the 350 f sport would have been, but I think it is the main competitor.

The oem’s are racing to get more fuel efficient cars on the road and thats a bad thing? The take rate is low because early adoptors have to pay a premium for these vehicles. If ev and hybrid is common place, more people will experience efficient vehicles with great torque. We are in a golden age of cars, lets enjoy

F1 cars are like neckties, wide and narrow come in and out of fashion in a whimsical manner. 98’ made the cars narrower, 08’ mare the rear wings much narrower, and now 17’, they will make the cars look as though the last 20 years have been a bad fever dream. Somewhere, Jacques Villeneuve is frosting whatever is left

We found out about Peugeot being able to win at Le Mans in 2009

The cities of Baltimore and Cleveland lost out on having an NFL franchise for a number of years... so at least there is a game i guess?

A turbo 4 that gets max twist at below 2k rpm produces a lot of street legal fun. All the makes will eventually get away from the na V6, it is a technology dead end. This engine will be fun in the real world and get decent mileage, that’s all you have to do with a crossover.

I am considering a 2.0 Ats at the moment and it is a perplexing car. It checks a lot of the right boxes, but there is switchgear that is out of a 95’ Cavalier, and you get nervous thinking that you just stepped into the old GM.
