@Chicken: What I was referring to was a little over 20 years ago, some 3D movies were released. Those that were released to play in regular theaters were mostly very forgettable - either horror or Scifi and didn't go over very well. So now, 20 years later they, are trying again.

3D was tried in the 1950s I remember seeing 'Creature from the Black Lagoon' in 3D as kid (Black & White) and a Western in color. It flopped then and it's flopping again with an entirely new audience. Until they can get away from the glasses it will just be a gimmick that they drag out every 20 years or so.
