Hold up.... can you even claim mostly, when you wanted them to draft Bismack over KLAY THOMPSON?
I think it depends on how All-NBA slots are defined; I don’t recall off the top of my head. Is it “guard” with SG/PG being left unspecified? If so, I can easily see him making an All-NBA team. If it’s a designated by position (PG is separate from SG), then he may have trouble making even the third team. Because, to be…
Slow down. I can name three point guards that are better than Lillard (Curry, Westbrook, Paul), let alone at the other positions (James, Leonard, George, Durant, Harden). Dame’s a marvel, and will be excellent for years to come, but he’s not a top-3 player yet.
He’s always been athletic, but he was a lousy shooter, playing SG at UCLA and even in his first few years in the NBA. He’s really had to work to develop his mid-range game in the NBA (as well as learning how to play as a point guard).
It’s definitely a bit of both, skewed towards the Thunder overperforming. What’s crazy to me is that they THREW AWAY Game 1 of the series and STILL lead 3-2. If you’d have told me these statements prior to the series and asked me to tell you which ones were true or false and use this to predict the outcome after at…
I don’t think his thin skin was the issue when he went to the Lakers. He’d already shown that with his horrible Orlando exit. He’s past his prime, lost more than a step, and been hacked for years which resulted in a variety of injuries starting from 2012 onward. He just never had a polished offensive skillset, and…
Milwaukee, New York, maybe even Chicago...Charlotte, Washington... depends on the stupidity.
That was my guess. I remember that it was the perfect moment to cap off the Blazers’ 4th quarter collapse — especially since it was Pippen that got completely juked by Kobe as he drove prior to throwing it up for the alley-oop.

No, but he drew up a useless isolation play for CORY JOSEPH. I don’t care how badly his star backcourt is shooting, they had more than once opportunity to close out this game, and couldn’t — Casey isn’t doing his team any favors and isn’t putting them in a chance to succeed.
A #hottake, but damnit, it must be said: all those people that said either the Heat or the Raptors (but especially the Heat) would give the Cavs a good fight had better be paying attention. As much as Toronto tried to give away this game, Miami absolutely CHOKED in overtime. They literally generated nothing on…
Eh. Jonas is great, but he is definitely still shaky on defense, and not yet a legitimate anchor. I think he’s got a higher ceiling than Kanter, but he has shaky footwork/positioning, and gets caught ball-watching a bit too often.
The gig economy in a nutshell.
Actually, I typed the original response, posted, realized the Pistons series was closer than it should’ve been, then was a bit too lazy to go back and edit. But you’re correct, those games were competitive for at least 36 minutes of all four games (at least 45 minutes in two of them).
Yeah, it’s totally the Cavs’ fault that they have yet to face an opponent that’s good enough to keep the game competitive for the entire 48 minutes.
This year? Sure. But when you have top talent, you need to be able to make in-game and between-game adjustments on the fly, and Vogel hasn’t shown that he’s particularly quick or skilled at doing so. Vogel is a hell of a coach — not disputing that — and I don’t think he should’ve been fired with the roster as…
Agreed. Vogel’s also had some pretty serious miscues in the playoffs — starting his terribad bench for big minutes in the 4th quarter of Game 5 this year might’ve cost them the series all on its own. He also made some questionable decisions in their last two trips to the postseason, during the two ECF series against…
He’s also got a playable backup center in Frye (unlike Mozgov, who’s unlikely to see many minutes on the floor for spacing issues).
