Anyone else think that since Rey appears to be Luke’s Daughter....that PERHAPS this Canon’s Mara Jade (or whomever Luke hooked up with) was killed in Kylo and the Knight’s Academy raid/destruction? Or maybe better yet, she’s still alive and in hiding? Feels like that might come into play. I’d rather she’s still alive…

I was thinking it was because BB-8 was finally there with the rest of the map...no reason to wake up till the rest of the map is present and he can find his beloved master. At least that’s what I assumed.

Yep. I think so. If she was a Solo, her parents AND her brother would have reacted differently.

She obviously related, but if she was a Solo...Kylo would have known her, Han would have reacted to her in more than the way he did, and Leia would have reacted differently to her own daughter. I’m PRETTY sure she’s Luke’s...and was placed on Jakku as a child when Kylo went bad to keep her safe. I’ve also wondered if…

Kat Kennedy has already stated that the main series of movies are and will always be about the Skywalkers. I’m pretty sure she’s Luke’s.
