so the game is likely to catch the textures on 360's hdd to prevent that from happening.

got a link to that quote because rage runs at 60fps on the 360 so it wouldn't lose many frames while rendering textures. The reason it needs to be installed on ps3 is because the drive isn't fast enough to stream the textures where as the 360's is.

Both games use the same textures, he was only justifying the ps3 install.

Well Microsoft and the pet has always stated that they don't have a problem with you playing the game if you get it before the release date, they just have a problem with the people who broke the street date.

i suppose epic could ban you from the servers, but it would be a first for playing a game early. they only do that if you modify scores and leader boards.
