how exactly is buying a cheap cable more complicated than buying an expensive cable. also you point out the super expensive cables above yet those are the same uneducated people that would buy this cable. Sony selling a cable for this price is just a rip off there's no justification for overpricing a cable like that.
the latest standard is 1.4a which is the cable i was talking about, this cable has no features above other 1.4a cables and will work with the ps3 in exactly the same way. just because this cable isn't as ridiculously priced doesn't mean it isn't stupidly overpriced.
paying for a brand is absolute crap, i could buy an Amazon cable for cheaper and be assured quality. I've owned many cheap and unbranded hdmi cables and none have broken, this is just Sony trying to make a quick buck of ignorant consumers.
there is no reason to rip customers off, ignorant or not.
so £14 for this or £1.30 for one of Amazon with pretty much the same performance.
