I understand ypur point, but its much harder to accomplish when its someone you love and are trying to maintain a relationship with.

What of the times when standing up for yourself backfires agaisnt an already assertive person with a sharp wit? You as the pushover only just got out of the hole, but your opponent has a far more impressive amoury. a missstep like that can set you back even more. what can one do when they use that against you?
