I could rant to the clouds about BMI for hours.

❤️You were being unnecessarily aggressive in your responses and are now making yourself a victim.

Yeah! It’s almost funny how intense those questions sound when you don’t know that they’re stock greetings meant for light small talk.

Two weeks into my year abroad in the UK my grandpa died. (He was hospitalized my third day there.) Everyone kept asking me “alright?” (or worse “are you alright?”) and I just kept thinking, “wow, people in the UK are really perceptive” and unloading a whole bunch on them. Eventually, I realized that “alright?” was

Honestly, this. Everyone has their own preferences and problems with a variety of small talk questions, but they’re not meant to be deep conversation pieces. They’re what you say when you either don’t really have anything to say, or when you’re trying to gauge someone’s interest in opening up about something. No one ex

I was on their store’s website a few days ago and apparently you too can own a super basic watercolor portrait of your house for only $350!

This announcement makes me so happy. After she wrote about her miscarriage last year I was hoping this would be happening soon.

As someone who goes a bit beyond when it comes to keeping my guest room stocked (I load up the local travel guides, stationary, snacks, toiletries, bedside carafes, coffee and tea selections, and even have a guest-room coffee pot and container of spa slippers), I understand this guy’s urge to be like... everyone who

I was watching the documentary last night and I believe they said that once it was permanent, she has to be the one to prove that she doesn’t need a conservatorship. Which seems tricky to do when you don’t have rights to your own autonomy.

That’s really interesting. My mom was definitely one of the earliest cases in the city. She thinks she might have caught it from one of two people she worked with: one who had a “cold” after traveling to southern France over the holidays and came to work anyway, and the other whose parent came to stay with them from

Apparently, there’s a highly-recommended hair gel with gorilla in the name that also comes in a yellow bottle with a picture of a gorilla on it. They obviously look very different and are in different sections of the store, but it makes the situation make a bit more sense.

Yeah, I shared about getting the vaccine on Instagram because I’ve had friends and family members repeating misinformation about the vaccine that they saw online.

I feel you. <3

I remember talking to a couple of thin friends a couple of years ago about size discrimination and first realizing that some people didn’t recognize thin privilege.

Thank you for this. <3

Congratulations!!! I’m celebrating for you too. :)

Thank you so much! This is a very sweet and appreciated comment. <3

I’ve talked about this before on here, but my partner and I have been extraordinarily privileged during the pandemic. We both kept our jobs (despite my boss letting me know last March that because I’m the newest hire, I’ll be the first to be let go if it comes to that—I could have figured that out for myself, thanks)

Your comment is kind of suited for r/wooosh.

When I was in high school, my dad came home from the grocery store while I was hanging out on the couch, adding flare to my Facebook corkboard or whatever else I did for fun back in those days.
