Calling this article extremist is putting it lightly. An absolute denial of biological reality, and a complete dismissal of biological female athletes. When did we get to the point that people who call themselves progressives have no empathy for the plight of teenage girls? They and their families tried very hard

It continues to frustrate me that the writers of Jezebel seem to believe there is no nuance whatsoever regarding this issue. It seems Jez’s readers recognize that athletics is an entirely different matter from any other issue of trans inclusion, yet the writers just cannot see it.

What makes this such an insane take on a site that claims to be about women’s issues. Instead of doing a legitimate examination of the situation, no matter what side it lands on, the article instead goes full-on ‘Women be whiners’ attitude about a very legitimate complaint.

Your whole stance of “trans women are bigger, stronger and faster, so just deal” seems very dismissive.

I 100% believe these girls who were born as boys identify as female and are trans.

If you swing a penis, you are physically a man. Your body has gone through biological changes that, according to evolution, enable your muscles to develop differently than a biological female.  When a biological man decides that he was supposed to be a woman is an athlete, then competes in women’s sports, they are at

You guys are really committed to these shitty videos, aren’t you?

I’m no right-winger, but I think this is a much more complex issue than has been perpetuated. Conservatives aren’t the only ones protesting this issue, though their (underlying, prejudicial) reasoning is certainly unique.

Do you think she actually wants to be there? GC feminists get no-platformed when we try to speak literally anywhere else. It’s happening right now at the Toronto Public Library. All of us are inundated with violent threats, daily. That’s not hyperbole.

That’s two articles in two days hating on so-called TERFs with a whole lot of knee-jerk going on and not a lot of journalism. Is this really necessary?

The expression TERF just reeks so hard of male privilege, and indicates to me that you really are a guy pretending to be a girl.

Pregnant women.

I meet these women and their platform isn’t really feminism, it’s entitlement.

Excellent post. From what I can see this blog is inherently and purposefully disingenuous - the premise is that the facial recognition technology being developed is biased against the subject’s gender, but as far as I can tell the only thing it’s trying to determine is biological sex. I am admittedly not the most

Sigh, super unpopular facts incoming, please hear me out.

I’m a medical student who just passed forensic medicine. My good friend works in the field of archaeological forensics. Her team is specialized in identifying the remains on archaeological sites, but also in mass graves from the recent war in my country.

Come the fuck on. This is dystopian threat for EVERYONE.  Fuck off with this segregationist bullshit.

So if I am reading this right, the program looks at things like brow heaviness, cheekbones, jawline and so forth to decide if this face is the same person as that face and if the face is masculine or feminine. So what do people want? For the program to also look through the person's social media to see how they FEEL

“What happens to medical research or clinical drug trials when a dataset misgenders or omits thousands of people?” Is this an actual concern? Wouldn’t a woman born in a stereotypically male-labeled body want drugs that are, I dunno, designed for the characteristics of a stereotypically male-labeled body?

AGR systems, in other words, have been designed under the presumption that gender is physiologically-rooted wherein the body is the source of a binary gender, male or female.

I’m wondering how you can determine gender identity just from a photo.
