I’m an emissions compliance engineer. You stated factually incorrect statements regarding emissions control devices and I corrected you. Then you continued to be wrong so I continued to correct you and got a little snippy too. But the only reason there’s an argument to be had is because you’re on the internet talking…
If you’re going to complain about being called a moron, then perhaps you should at least do so using complete sentences and proper spelling.
Secondary air injection isn’t diluting the exhaust, it is adding more fresh air, which means more oxygen, to the exhaust to help the catalysts clean up any unburnt hydrocarbons.
Except that the same “loophole” basically exists under U.S. law as well... They’re called Auxiliary Emission Control Devices, or AECDs. You’re allowed to have them for engine protection, you just have to disclose them to the agencies ahead of time and justify their inclusion. Hopefully they’re significantly included…
Maybe this will drive Europe to act more like the US-based agencies, especially ARB, and do a more thorough job of reviewing manufacturers’ cert applications, especially with respect to enable/disable conditions on AECDs.
RS6 Avant is basically my dream daily driver...

Ah, gotcha. Yeah, it was Sunday morning. I think it may have been a one time Spring meetup.
Supercar Saturday is the first Saturday of the month, starting next month.
Thanks. I knew it looked familiar, especially the Panera. Immediately thought Ogden, but couldn’t narrow it down from there. Is this a weekly C&C? The only C&C I know in the western ‘burbs is Supercar Saturday.
Where on Ogden is this at? I couldn’t recognize it, and I didn’t realize there was a C&C this past weekend. There was a M car meetup and drive in the city that ended in Glenview, but it was thrown off when CPD showed up and started handing out parking tickets at the initial meetup.
And companies need an H1-B visa to employ them.
Tough call, as my first car was an ‘89 Prelude S. Price still seems a little steep for an engine with roughly the horsepower output of a non-steroid aided Lance Armstrong.
Except they are going to do this on the B9 already, minus the Avant and 6MT, but use a 3.0TT instead of the 2.5TFSI, and call it the RS4.
Really hoping they don’t offer an RS5 and skip out on giving us an RS4 or RS6 instead. The RS7 is alright, but I’d much rather have that engine in the S6 body...
Based on the frantic and accusatory phone call that I once received from my ex-gf after I drove her car and applied the hand brake, not everyone is aware of what the orange “brake” indicator means on the cluster.
The rule is: Keep right, except to pass. So yes, the cop can legitimately find them in the wrong.
They’ve also managed to get the majority of their voters to vote against their own financial self interest in most respects for years, and convinced them it’s the Democrats fault. It’s rather impressive, if not also very disheartening...
