It was downright unsettling to see Mike so happy in that diner scene. He was doing the Ehrmantraut equivalent of skipping down the sidewalk.

BETTER CALL SAUL is brilliantly recontextualizing Mike's death. In "Say My Name", Mike's death is sad simply because he was a character we liked, a dangerous man with a shaky moral code. Now, Mike dying for no reason is shown to be the end result of a man who gradually led himself down the slippery slope of all the

Yep. We all watched every step of Walt's downfall with a morbid fascination, with it being helped by the show being both tremendously entertaining and nail-bitingly intense.

I ultimately think Chuck will live. I remain convinced that BETTER CALL SAUL will become the story of Jimmy and Chuck's reconciliation.

I still don't think Howard is that bad a guy, honestly. A bit of a icy professional, yes, but he's had a lot of moments (particularly his reaction to discovering the length's of Jimmy's caring for Chuck and his reaction to Kim resigning) of likability.

It's more about what it means to Jimmy than about Chuck. It's Jimmy, for the first time, potentially crossing a moral line there's no walking back from.

If Kim's speech wasn't the best moment of the season, then her punching Jimmy in the arm repeatedly in the car afterwards sealed the deal.

Perfect comparison, and the perfect microcosm of the differences between the two shows. Walt letting Jane die felt like an act of true evil. Jimmy inadvertently bringing Chuck into mortal peril feels like the makings of a tragedy.

It's less about feeling bad for Chuck and more about watching Jimmy stuck in the ultimate moral dilemma. He could very well end up having Chuck's blood on his hands.

I literally shrieked "AWWWW SHEEEET" when the cousins showed up on that rooftop.

She's completely owned the last two episodes, which is saying something when those two episodes also had Jonathan Banks and the entire family Salamanca.

There was a reference to an "Ignacio" by Saul when Walt and Jesse kidnapped him in his first appearance. That could indicate that Nacho is still alive in BREAKING BAD.

It'd be fucking amazing if Gilligan trolls everyone with a shot of Giancarlo Esposito in the background when Mike arranges a meeting with Hector at Los Pollos.

"Petty with a prior…"

That would be true if his character never changed after what we've seen in the flashforwards. There's no guarantee that will happen.

I see it as an inversion of BREAKING BAD. Walt was a normal guy on the surface but secretly a monster, whereas Jimmy is a shady hustler on the surface but secretly has a heart of gold.

Also very period-appropriate, because, you know, 2002.

Eventually, the story will move whole-cloth into the present. How can it not?

The problem with Chuck's moral high ground is that it's strongly colored by personal prejudice. He's ultimately right about Jimmy, but he only wants to believe that because he can't stomach the thought of Jimmy being on the same level as him.
