INTERSTELLAR is a movie that I was deeply conflicted about after seeing it, but when discussing it months later, I found that a load of it was still floating around in my brain. It stuck. So I'm considering giving it another shot.

Wes Anderson isn't really my thing, but I understand why people love him. The backlash against Nolan is mostly because some of his praise got slightly hyperbolic in the wake of TDK and INCEPTION. Love both those movies, do not think that their existence makes him New Kubrick.

It is not worse than that.

I went into this movie with adjusted expectations after its critical lambasting, and came away pleasantly surprised. The "Diaz fucking a car" scene is downright surreal.

There's no reason the rebooted TREK franchise couldn't still be good. Simon Pegg and Justin Lin both seem to want to make BEYOND more reminiscent of TOS.

I've come to embrace this season of the show for what it is. It's not last year, but how could it ever be? The show is steadily improving, and the leads are getting better with every outing. Fuck, this show is making me like Taylor Kitsch and Vince Vaughn.

Terrible, but eminently watchable. I stop on it every time it's on cable.

300 is homoerotic as all hell, but I don't even know if the rippling abs there can compete with the absolute majesty of homoeroticism that is 2 FAST 2 FURIOUS.

It'd be great if in FURIOUS 8 he breaks out of jail, and it's revealed he can teleport.

Snyder tries to make those statements because he has some sort of compulsion to attempt to justify his indulgence. Hence the long philosophical talks in MAN OF STEEL in between punchfests and the half-baked female empowerment angle in SUCKER PUNCH.

I actually kind of like that one, if only because it's so hacky that it sort of loops back around to hilarious.

GHOST PROTOCOL is the point where the franchise finally found its own niche in the spy-action genre. By embracing both the fun banter-y team aspects and the absurdity of Tom Cruise doing increasingly ballsy and ridiculous stunts, it carved out its own place in the blockbuster landscape. ROGUE NATION looks like its

I got approximately halfway into the second episode, fell asleep and never went back.

I think STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS finally killed that trope stone dead.

YES. LOCKOUT. We need more love for LOCKOUT in this world.

I tried to resist, I really did.

If anything, she looks better than she did 20 years ago.

Aunt MILF.

Like Will Ferrell's comments to Eva Mendes in THE OTHER GUYS, basically.

Frank ripping the teeth out was fantastic. "I've always fucking hated these things". He was saying what was exactly on everyone's mind.
