Reviews are opinions based on experiences—they can’t be wrong unless they lie about an obvious/apparent truth. A truer statement would be “Why does so many Kotaku reviews not reflect my opinion?”

I think its the difference between Murder and Killing that the Polygon review focuses on. It seems that in the game there are next to zero instances where you can bypass enemies and not kill them—combat is forced and predetermined most of the time—so your character isn’t killing to survive ala most video games but…

I’m no stranger to Artstation or Kushinov. Her art is very flat to me and lacks variety as much as it does emotion. No expressions. No dynamic movement or angle work—in fact she heavily relies on 3/4 pose. No real variation in her subjects details—age, build, race, FACE design—outside of minimal examples.

Aloy rules so hard I’m buying Horizon a second time when it launches for PC. I can’t wait o revisit that game.

My issue was mostly with the initial response being; Did you watch the video? As if this was Youtube where watching videos vs. reading articles was implicit

No I didn’t. I don’t read articles on a website to watch videos and listen to someone talk slower than I can read--or repeat themselves far too often. Thanks.
