You missed the “NEW” 3DS vs the 3DS. Wii and Wii U was quite the blunder as well. Most people thought it was the same console. At least they learned with the Switch. Current non gamers can’t tell the different Xbox versions apart--alot like the different Apple phones lately.

I mean gear drops have been shit my entire playthrough. Opening vaults was incredibly underwhelming. Farming bosses has been tedious unless you’re cheezing them.

There’s fleshing out a game for narrative development, which FFVII didn’t need. It actually needs the opposite as its convoluted as is.
