Honestly? Desperation. As I said, and I think you agree, the Clintons seriously fucked over a lot of the people that voted Trump this time around.
Re: Bill Maher: I repeatedly said that there's no excuse for using the word he used, full stop. At the same time, in my opinion, calls for him to be fired, especially after he apologized, were probably a step too far. Which is consistent with my usual position regarding social media mob action.
Here's the first appearance of "thanks white people" in this thread: http://www.avclub.com/artic… It's your comment. If he said it in some other thread, I haven't seen that.
I'm not trying to be argumentive. I've never been to a range or even shot a gun at a target, so this is a sincere question:
Re-evaluate your thinking. You should have a problem with violence no matter who it's directed towards.
No one deserves to be shot for their political beliefs. It's amazing that needs to be said.
You're right, only inasmuch as the laws we have are clearly not strict or enforced enough to prevent this lunatic from getting a hold of them.
First, I agree that we should be thankful more people weren't injured.

I don't care why he's doing it, if it helps kill this obscenely stupid bill, I'm for it.
Off the top of my head…
Hire a sex worker.
a) Maybe, given your commenting history that Oliver is clearly aware of, it didn't come off as a joke. Is that possible?
So your "thanks white people" comment doesn't drip with scorn? If you come at someone aggressively, what right do you have to expect them not to respond in kind? Even then, Oliver's response barely registers as testy.
I dunno. With Pixar's recent track record, my hopes aren't even high for that. Inside Out was two years ago, and its an island to itself among Pixar's releases for a while.
They should, but the talking points of conservatism aren't usually the principles that animate them. They're arguments of convenience, dropped when no longer useful.
To be even fairer, they probably shouldn't. The vast majority of citizens either voted for Donald Trump or didn't vote at all. The vast majority of citizens are dumb.
I think he did check your comment history— thus the frustration with having his thread subverted. He's not wrong is saying its a bit of an MO for you.
I thought that was pee.
Who's going to take it away from him?
