Principles aren't worth much if they're abandoned when they become inconvenient.

True enough, but I don't think our side is served by trying to make that point at this time.

Fair enough. I guess you put it down to the disparity in media presence then? Or maybe just that nobody in the mainstream really cares much about GWAR to begin with?

Again, let's not be using Ted Nugent as a measuring stick for what we consider our own acceptable behavior.

He can be a hypocrite and be totally correct in this particular case. As we say around here, it can be two things.

If you're advocating violence against anyone, especially by random citizen vigilantes, you probably need to rethink your position on things.

There's nothing wrong with agreeing with Trump about something, especially this.

It's not the gore, it's the sentiment behind it. I expect the same reaction would be had if GWAR haf released a similar photo depicting a decapitated president.

You want Ted Nugent to be the standard by which we judge?

Definitely. The technical side of things is very much blue collar. Camera sort of pretends it isn't, but most of the department is still lugging heavy shit around through mud all day.

The usual boys club mentality complaints. It's not always the most welcoming environment for women, and there's definitely an extra distance women have to go in a lot of more physical positions (grip, electric, camera to some degree) to be looked at as equals.

Precisely. As one of those little people, I can tell you that there is very rarely any discrepancy amongst any given position. Grips are paid scale and that's it. You have to be working as a department head to get above scale, and then it's only on the biggest projects. Most additional income is derived from gear

It'll help, but the same thing was said about The Hunger Games films. Really, it's forcing a very large sea change, and that will take multiple, sequential successes.

The biggest issue with Lawrence's complaint being extrapolated to other industries is that entertainer's compensation is so different from most salary structures.

Exactly. The Marvel area is a huge draw for Islands of Adventure, so i don't see it going quickly or cheaply.

Get rid of that goofy Aerosmith ride instead.

Goign through Disney World is such a weird mix sometimes. Like, how many people even know that there's a movie tie in to the log ride (Splashdown? I forget the exact name), let alone have ever SEEN Song of the South?

I love the Tiki Room.

Man, that Poseidons Adventure is just so silly and throwback, I couldn't help but enjoy it even as I was embarrassed to be doing so.

Avatar might be cool, despite my minimal interest in the film itself. The immersive world it created could translate well.
