Not a bad hack at all. What I'd like to see is a way to turn off the drive names - especially on network drives. It gets so annoying to see "DataDriveName$ on ThisReallyBigassNameOfAServer" E:\

Really? Hmm, I'm on a 2006 era first gen Macbook and all is well. I had to put Status-4-evar on it to get it to look how I wanted it to but otherwise it's been perfect. Maybe I'm the lucky one.

While they didn't make the top 10 I can see that DownThemAll and AdblockPlus do their share of damage. Good thing Firefox 4 is nice and peppy so I'm not complaining.

My boss complains that I am untidy. He has piles of papers and junk EVERYWHERE. Do as I say, not as I do. :-(

I'm working on becoming a better baker. I'm already baking bread for friends and family.

@SupaPhly: Wasn't it Pheonix then? Or was it Firebird by that point.

@OgilvyTheAstronomer: I upgraded to FF4 on my Mac last night and it ran just fine. This is on a 4.5 year old 1st gen Macbook. I did install a few add-ons to get it how I wanted it but otherwise I couldn't be happier.

@Riff-Raff: What are Flash ads? I've been using AdblockPlus and FlashBlock for years. Sure helps when your connection is slow.

So I got those big tankers full of DDT for nothing? Damn ...

@B: All you can eat buffets too.

As the old idiom goes: you're "throwing good money after bad." Wasting more time on Farmville does not justify the time you already wasted on it.

When I lived with my parents it was nice that I could have everything from my PS3 all the way back to the Atari 2600 hooked up. Sure I had a couple switch boxes but it was fun.

@Whitson Gordon: I believe it was a hardware issue in keeping the cost of the PS3 down to $300 instead of the $600 it launched at. At least Gamestop sells used PS2 consoles for like $30 so it's more an inconvenience than a financial burden.

Hmm, 3D Glasses and 3DTV? I guess they are inserting stupid tax into this article.

@hashish16: you can't backup a PS3 game as far as I know.

@imevul: When I studied marketing a few years back we were told that research showed that brand loyalty was dying in my generation (Generation Y, I think) but that it still survives in a few items. In my parents and especially grandparents generation people would be very brand loyal and sometimes store loyal.

@ltfields: Right, the same way that Ultrabrite is $1 while Colgate is $3-4 and if you read the Ultrabrite packaging it is made by Colgate.

Well for a lot of simple things, I just let Consumer Reports or other people decide them for me. I mean, I will decide what's important to me but toothpaste? CR said that Ultrabrite was the best and it's $0.97 where Crest, Colgate etc. are $3 a tube. Of course, at Christmas last year "Santa" gave my fiancee and I each

@shadowsquid86: No, I am probably just as big a Wind Waker fan as you are. I'm actually planning on going through it yet another time. It's the most satisfying game I've ever played.
