The controls are loose, delayed, and floaty like Assassin’s Creed or something. Where MGS4’s were more precise and immediate. In an online competitive mode I want my controls to react as soon as I press the button, not this weird half second reaction or that weird suction onto walls stuff. It’s frustrating to use.
Oh I think I’ve seen that once. Does it have like super insane bullet physics with drop and curve and everything? And the sights are super technical and accurate and stuff?
That’s crazy, they control practically the same! You’d think by the control logic well, nevermind. Good though cause I also thought those titles are overrated and kinda bad. I also don’t care for Battlefield or ArmA either. Actually I don’t even know what ArmA is.
MGO2 had a great level system to make it more accessible. It was like elastic. You were limited to play with people within a certain range of your level. (Well, you could make matches with different ranges if you want, of course. You had a lot of control in MGO2.) When you did well you leveled up. When you did poorly…
Dude it’s so generic. There hundreds of these generic shooters where you’re just running around and shooting each other. MGO used to be different than that, a diamond in the rough. This iteration of MGO IS generic. Their goal of “westernizing” the game worked cause it seems a lot like any other run of the mill…
Stiff, precise, to-may-to, to-mah-to
..you..slow down in..like 0.1 seconds and another like .1 second to press x... mgo3 is like .1 second faster. The speed difference between run and walk wasn’t very great. If that hindered your playing then I’m sorry. I don’t know what to tell you. But remember everyone had the same, I guess you’d call it, handicap? If…
I guess I was lucky with my MGO2 time. My friend and I basically used it like a co-op version of MGS4, if you will. I had a setup with two TV’s and his and my ps3’s and we played in person. And we tried to be very strategic and had each others’ back. We made friends in the game who noticed our teamwork, I guess, and…
I mean I’ve only played like 12 or 15 two round matches. Maybe it’ll grow on me. I did hate MGO2 when I first played it’s beta. But since there weren’t many games on the PS3 at the time I gave the final version another shot and I got hooked. So. Pfft. Maybe MGO3 needs more time.
You could climb chest high walls in MGS4 and MGO2.
If you couldn’t figure out how to crouch or lay down without stopping then I’m sorry. (you had to walk, not run, then press the crouch button. If you were running you would roll instead).
Yeah MGO2 was slower paced. One of the things people at the time largely complained about. But I always liked that about it.
It is not the best MGO. Sorry.
To me MGS4’s controls were much tighter. MGSV controls and MGO3 by extension is weirdly loose. Especially with that odd magnetic or suction thing you do to walls and things. And every movement feels like a second or so behind your inputs. Where MGS4 the movement was immediate, instant. The looser, tanky, less…
And MGO3 is in serious need of some BIG patches.
Play MGS4 then play MGSV. The movement is NOT the same. They are apples and oranges. I have no idea what you’re talking about.
It is not the best MGO. Sorry.
Can’t argue there as I’ve never had the chance to play MGO1. But I did ever so love MGO2/MGS4’s MGO.
It’s not the best MGO. Sorry.
