It makes sense, but you said you enjoy the game for walking. I went from 0 Pokeballs to 130 in one afternoon by ignoring all Pokemon except very special ones, and that’s at lvl 20 where I get even more variety. If you enjoy the walking, just walk for a bit and build those up.
