Let's try and focus here, sparky. We aren't talking about your AIDS/Cancer/Herpes conspiracy theories or your rather tenuous understanding of macro economics.

I do buy is that these vaccines do fuck with people's health
If you don't understand the difference between the objective, absolutely undeniable fact that vaccines have prevented tens of millions of deaths and crippling diseases, and the debate over whether ADHD is over-diagnosed and/or over-medicated, then I better understand why you're an Alex Jones fan.
If it was just people committing self-harm, it would be one thing. Unfortunately, these morons are endangering their children, and a lot of other people (especially those who have compromised immune systems or can't receive vaccines for some legitimate medical reason) because they're causing a resurgence in some of…
did you get your Polio , Rubella , Whooping cough and measles vaccine?
Oh, dear. Do you really not understand that just because your child is healthy now (and hopefully remains so) it doesn't mean that you aren't endangering his health seriously?
DONT GET VACCINATED
Like most things, Alex Jones has this exactly backward. If Bill Gates really did have the goal of reducing human population without regard to human suffering , he'd just pull the funding from his vaccination and clean water projects, and watch as millions of people died (rather horribly).
The damage Wakefield did wouldn't have been nearly as great if we didn't give the opinions of dullards like Jenny McCarthy (and the egomaniacs like Oprah Winfrey who give them a platform) equal weight to the actual scientists and doctors explaining why vaccines are safe and enormously important.
Wow, a picky eater doesn't like certain categories of food? Fascinating.
At least Schiano's kid has been keeping busy.
there's not much difference between an American rationalizing Hiroshima and Nagasaki and a Japanese person rationalize Nanking or a German rationalizing the Holocaust
Of course there were punitive and political motives for dropping the bombs, along with a desire to show the Soviets that we could counter their land forces. There is never a single motivation for any act in war, much less something this large. And we certainly weren't dropping them as an act of charity.
the difference between Germany and Japan is that we didn't drop two atomic bombs on Germany
Yes, "they" were interested in a negotiated peace and put out feelers through the Soviets. What you leave out is that "they" were not the people who had any control over the Imperial Army or Navy, but were a small faction within the foreign office.
There's an argument to be made that if the US had allowed Japan to keep the emperor (which wound up happening anyway), rather than insisting on "unconditional surrender," there would have thrown in the towel long before August of 1945.
Perhaps I'm not familiar with 1968 politics...
Nope, you aren't. There are a lot of people who don't think things through and aren't very familiar with history.
I think there were such protocols, but the ship's officers were caught with their pants down and didn't follow them.
If we had kicked them off the continent and crippled their military, who cares if they surrendered or not?
