I doubt they start out fully toxic, probably just some combination of awkward, shy and insecure. Get some negative reactions from women and it calcifies into the incel “all women are bitches” worldview. These “incels” really really aren’t “involuntarily celibate” since everything they do to repel even a potential mate’s attraction is entirely voluntary.
