Security experts have confirmed that it only took the offender three attempts to break the account’s password: GUMBOGUMBOGUMBO

I can’t believe that members of that esteemed organization, the Big Easy Mafia, would come up with a half baked costume scheme.

That’s what I mean, though. From what I’ve seen of the trailers, there’s no middle ground—you’re either supporting rabid, “I will kill everyone and do anything to get rid of these white people,” caricatures or you’re trying to keep both sides from murdering each other, with little in-between.

One man’s terrorist is another man’s freedom fighter

Coincidentally I was stoned during this game too

Seems like people are not capable of understanding that “first impressions” are not “reviews”. Or they (idiots on Twitter) believe that you tell people they arent allowed to enjoy Greedfall or that you have given up on the game. Keep your head up Heather and ignore the bad comments.

I believe the thinking goes that when you spill gumbo on them, it only shows on half of it.

This was a great read Heather.

The game has been advertised, quite extensively, around the fact that taking sides will rightfully piss off not only NPCs and Factions, but also your party members—to the point where they might leave you, or try to kill you.

Previous games by Spiders have handled quite a few social issues, though not well simply for lack of... I’m not sure how to describe it. In Technomancer I saw where they were going when trying to talk about things like exploitation of labor, discrimination, and the plight of the outsider, but it was handled clumsily

Friends, I don’t know how to make clearer in an article marked impressions that this is my early experience with the game and that it’s been a complicated experience. I’m eager to play more and see what might change, but at the moment this has not been a particularly enjoyable play experience for me even acknowledging

It’s so goddamn disappointing that they’d be deeply invested in rewarding player creativity and providing the player choices in ways that are ultimately kind of inane (e.g. there are nine fun ways to get from point A to point B), while also providing no ways to meaningfully engage with a fucked up world. It’s a

I mean there is a significant incentive in real life for a self-interested person to maintain the status quo when said status quo benefits them. Obviously I haven’t played the game yet, but what you’ve described doesn’t seem to preclude the ability to take an extreme stance. I’m hoping for a scenario where you can

Man this is some good stuff.

Made by Spiders you say? Good for them! They’ve always made great webs, nice to see them branching out into new industries.

Even as recently as, say, 15 or 20 years ago, the typical person didn’t read the New York Times regularly, and certainly didn’t read the opinion section regularly. And yet, you probably knew, through osmosis or whatever, that it was the paper of record, written by elites, with its opinion section being the most

Sounds like David is starting to get a little tired of his young wife’s attitude at the ol’ homestead.

Maureen Dowd: “Let me eat cake”

It’s pretty common all over the place.  I read an article about Kentucky weed farmers who grow it in dense forest and put all kinds of deadly booby traps nearby.

This doesn’t happen in the US, but only because every police force from small towns through to big cities is fitted out like a paramilitary operation so the growers literally have to go underground.
