You misheard it. It’s “dark things call to dark things” meaning that it calls to him because he’s a dark thing too. Not much better, but maybe a little?

still looks like a fan film though.
Oh, it is real, and is even at a watchable quality at Entertainment Weekly, but I guess the first embeddable version Gordon found for the article was from some rando who (badly) ripped it from there and put it on their YouTube channel.
It looks like a Blumhouse film that they licensed at the last minute and tacked on a couple scenes with Hellboy during reshoots.
I hate those videos! I’ve looked for trailers for new movies that may be sequels or remakes only to get duped into clicking on one of those instead.
Del Toro’s Hellboy movies had a wonderful, twisted fairytale vibe and a perfectly cast Ron Perlman. Neil Marshall’s Hellboy... I just don’t know what the hell happened there. Everything about that movie felt like a misfire.
Are you sure this is real? I didn’t get very far before giving up on peering through the poorly encoded low resolution smudge, but the YouTube channel it’s on looks like one of those that puts together fan trailers for upcoming movies and titles them as if they were official in a desperate bid for clicks. And it you look at what has happened in the last 40 years, the film industry plays out like a movie script. There are different acts different tones, there are slowdowns and high intelligence moments. Hollywood is a reflection of itself.

Honestly, I feared exactly what you are saying, but I was pleasantly surprised by the process.
Johnson’s wonderfully independent-minded publicity tour for Madame Web made it clear that the finished project was not what she had signed on for.
Counterpoint: she’s just not a good actress and is uncharismatic, monotone, and dead-eyed in pretty much all of her roles. She’s at her best in talk show appearances when she’s just being a version of herself.
see, i don’t get the whole “prickly intelligence and iron will” bit at all. Honestly, she appears vapid and remarkably uncharismatic - or have i just missed the movies where she displays this intelligence and will thing? Any suggestions?
Is it odd that I’m really excited to see what they do with Debra Jo Rupp?
That was my biggest bitch about this game. I loved it, as much as I could, but the controls killed it for me...So if updated then yeah I’ll be interested in playing it again. I’ve forgotten everything about it so it will be practically new to me.
