“Overwatch 2’s 2023 was full of broken promises, but it’s not broken”
100%. I dont even play this genre regularly and you had to pry the controller off me playing Overwatch in 2017-19. I even had tickets to see the Shock play right before the pandemic shut everything down.
Me and $100 (deluxe version!) every March: “OH IT’S MARCH!”
Inspired maybe the best Chandler Bing insult
I definitely get the licensing thing, they’re far from the only ones who have to go through this when car licenses, etc. lapse, but yeah, this is why offline campaigns still need to exist, and in GT’s case, the campaign (and liveries) being able to exist without needing to hook to a server.
Just in time for the Superb Owl!

“....... I'M A FIVE STAR MAN!!"
My favorite boss battle from that game. Some of the choices were pretty hilarious.

Spared no expense!
I definitely don’t blame some devs getting into these waters, esp. ones that badly need a hit that hit the ol’ publisher “sales expectations” (and even those aren’t bulletproof — see Avengers being such a disappointment that it trickled down to a damn good Guardians of the Galaxy game being quickly discounted to burn…
“So, what, we just some kind of....half-baked bolted-on four hour campaign?"

“Apart from JSR none of them seemed like they’d be full-priced, AAA titles. They looked more like $20-30 small team efforts”
Blood shower rave or GTFO
I’m glad they didn't overthink this. This is PRECISELY the thing a Jurassic Park game should be, first movie locales and time setting included.
