Yeah, I think the biggest takeaway of the trilogy is that there was misdirection in that the entirety of it comprises Peter’s actual origin story, and that doesn’t snap into focus until it’s Aunt May who gives him the with-great-power line.
For better or worse, it definitely hews very close to The Wonderful World of Mickey Mouse’s aesthetic
