My mom was the same way, she’s not exactly the first person who will go seek out an animated film on her own in the theater, but she loves superheroes (that’s where I get it from!) and eventually after all my highest recommendations, she saw ITSV and loved it.

I was gonna say, given how middling Redfall is, maybe it's not a bad thing for them to use some CG trailers!

Having seen it in IMAX, had the exact same issues. I definitely missed quite a few lines in the prologue and the Mumbattan scenes in particular

Having just come out of seeing Across the Spider-Verse, maybe the most jaw-dropping major Western animated film I’ve ever seen in terms of visuals, I’d really love for Pixar to go away from their standard “rounded” look and try something daring, different, anything that’s not:

I especially enjoy the current “MCU fatigue” discord despite Marvel Studios having its best non-Avenger 12-month stretch at the box office with No Way Home, Dr. Strange 2, Wakanda Forever, and Thor 4 from December 2021-22.

Seeing the trailers for Elemental feels depressing; it feels like seven other past (and better) Pixar movies stitched together in hopes that it can recapture the old magic, which I last felt with Inside Out.

I have a close friend who is now non-binary, but was female/lesbian up to that point. Since they still are only attracted to women but have no preferred gender for their own identity, they just go with identifying as “queer”.

Yeah, Lazarus Project is a year old over in the UK, so I imagine that’s the kind of scripted programming we’ll see from Turner going forward: relatively inexpensive imports.
