Also, looking at the map during the opening credits Winterfell is a fair distance from Dragonstone. I love how GOT has to now allow everyone to Fast Travel places in order to fit the narrative. No more marching for episodes on end to get to where you need to battle, BOOM! next scene, you're there!

True, but I don't buy that was their intention. It just seemed slack and had to fit a specific time window so had to be cut down which resulted in it being all over the place.
